From Heathrow to The Horse Trust

Hard-working Horse Earns His Rest

Horse Earns Rest The Horse Trust is delighted to welcome 24-year-old Bailey, who has spent the past 15 years working hard at a Special Needs farm near Heathrow Airport.

Heathrow Farm is a registered charity and a Riding for the Disabled centre where the 16.2 hand, Hanovarian cross bay gelding gave many people with a variety of special needs the enjoyment and physiotherapy horse riding offers.

Heathrow farm manager Kirstie Wilde said: “His gentle nature and willingness to do anything that was asked of him made him many friends. We will miss Bailey, but are very grateful to The Horse Trust for offering him the retirement and relaxation he so truly deserves for the rest of his days.”   Bailey and some of his new friends at The Horse Trust’s Home of Rest for Horses enjoy meeting visitors, who are welcome from 2pm to 4pm every day of the week.
