Horse Trusts Blind Angel Passes Onto Greener Pastures
The Horse Trust based in Speen, Buckinghamshire has sadly said goodbye to Spindles Farm rescue horse Angel who was a firm favourite with visitors and staff alike. Angel had survived the horrors of extreme neglect along with over 100 other horses, ponies and donkeys rescued from the Amersham site in 2008, despite being in her early twenties and almost completely blind.

The Horse Trust has teamed up with Hounds for Heroes, who provide specially trained assistance dogs for disabled military and emergency services men and women, to bring you an exciting fundraising event at our magnificent sanctuary in Speen. The countryside themed day will be fun for the whole family with military and animal displays and activities. There will be a licensed bar, food, displays, stalls, games and activities so bring your family (dogs included) for a fantastic day out. One Of London’s Bravest Horses Takes A Break From The Barricades
Today, The Horse Trust welcomes two new arrivals from the Metropolitan Police to its Home of Rest for Horses in Buckinghamshire. Police horse Chiswick was formally on active service at the Metropolitan Police’s Hyde Park stables, whilst Brigadier was based at their training establishment at Imber Court.
